The COVID-19 crisis could undermine progress countries have made over the past decades to achieve the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Coping with the coronavirus pandemic could lead to a dramatic
deterioration in all areas of sustainable development and exacerbate already high levels of inequality within
and among countries.
The situation requires timely action, both at national and global level.
In 2020, the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation analyzed Russia’s public administration system
and found that measures should be taken.
Topics to be discussed:
- Contribution of various institutions to implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development;
- Impact of COVID-19/crisis on the achievement of SDGs;
- Integrating SDGs into Russia’s strategic planning system;
- Monitoring the SDGs implementation in Russia;
- Contribution of Russian business companies to achieving the SDGs;
- UN goals and objectives for the 2020-2050 period.
