The high degree of uncertainty, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, has made socio-economic development forecasting and strategic management extremely difficult. Estimates of the depths of the crisis and forecast indicators for the growth (fall) rates of the main indicators vary greatly across representatives of various analytical centers.
Which factors should be considered first and which ones can be ignored? How remote should the forecast horizon be? How to deal with possible scenarios for the future pandemic waves, the global economic recovery and more-or-less active anti-crisis measures of the Government? These and other topics will be discussed at the project session. The project session participants will also share experiences and consolidate general principles and limitations of forecasting.
