Summary
The Spatial Development Strategy of the Russian Federation expires in 2025.
Now is the time to think and discuss the following questions:
1) does the Spatial Development Strategy fulfill its functions? Is it in demand at the regional management level?
2) is such a document necessary in the modern management configuration, in which national goals and projects dominate?
3) what are the main problems in the spatial development of the country and what management mechanisms can help solve them?
4) can scholars and managers agree on a system of priorities in spatial development?
Here are the main topics of the discussion, which will be attended by representatives of the academic expert community and regional management practice. The impetus for the discussion will be given by the results of an express study of the opinions of scientists and practitioners conducted by the Institute of Economics and Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
