On September 17, the stage of submitting applications for the IX Municipal Strategy Contest “The Best Action Plan for the Implementation of a Strategy” (MSC-2023), which is being held as part of the Forum, ended.

The number of applicants has increased compared to last year: 39 municipalities sent applications for participation. Among them are 18 municipal districts, 4 municipal districts, 15 urban districts and 2 rural settlements from 20 regions of Russia. The most active regions are the Ulyanovsk region (six applications), Krasnodar region (five applications), Lipetsk region (four applications), Vologda and Voronezh regions (three applications each). The dispersion in the population is more than a thousand times: from a tiny village council with 1.6 thousand inhabitants to a millionaire population where 1.6 million people live.

All applications meet technical requirements and have passed the expert selection stage, based on the results of which, by the end of September, the competitors who will be invited to the full-time round on October 30 will be determined.
