[2020-10-26] / The Panel Discussion “Dealing with Unfinished Construction Projects as a Driver for Regional Development” Took Place, Organized by the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation

The analysis by the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation showed a number of significant shortcomings in the governance system in relation to unfinished construction projects. The existing legal regulation does not provide a comprehensive solution to the challenge of reducing unfinished construction projects and requires improving the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Major challenges of the governance system in relation to unfinished construction projects, ways to overcome them, and difficulties regions face while dealing with unfinished construction projects have been discussed by: Svetlana Orlova, Auditor, Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation; Nikolay Nikolaev, Chairman, State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land; Sergey Nazarov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; Anton Dubovik, Deputy Head, Russian Federal Treasury; Dmitry Kenchadze, Deputy Head, Russian Federal State Statistics Service; Sergey Melikov, Acting Head of the Republic of Dagestan; Natalia Trunova, Vice-President, Center for Strategic Research.
