[2020-09-21] / The Round Table “From City Strategy to Strategies for City Districts: The Case of Yekaterinburg” Took Place

On September 18, the fifth webinar out of a series “Strategic Planning Before and After 2020” took place. The series is organized by the Resource Centre for Strategic Planning under Leontief Centre in anticipation of the Strategic Planning Leaders Forum 2020.

Presentations were given by: Yulia Lavrikova, Director, Institute of Economics RAS Ural Branch; Alexei Pryadein, Economy Department Head, Yekaterinburg City Administration; Ruslan Gabdrakhmanov, Director, Yekaterinburg Master Plan Development Office; Andrey Morozov, Head of Administration, Verkh-Isetsky City District of Yekaterinburg; Ivan Antipin, Associate Professor, Regional, Municipal Economics and Administration Department at Ural State University of Economics.

Yekaterinburg provided its own point of view on strategic planning process, focusing around interconnected city districts. The round table participants have discussed the strategy development methodology for seven city districts of Yekaterinburg. The population of each district is compared to medium or large-sized cities in Russia.
